The Start Up Village Conference will be the first project this year where volunteers of the Forum can prove themselves. The event will gather more than 3000 representatives of innovative companies, venture funds and authorities, mass-media, and development institutes. Therefore preparation of volunteers includes a variety of trainings: communication trainings, overcoming of stress and work with participants of major business events.

By October 1 the expert board will select 120 hi-tech companies, offering their representatives to take part in the Open Innovations Forum to be held on October 31 – November 2, 2013 in Moscow (IEC Crocus Expo) free-of-charge. At the Forum 120 representatives of project teams will have an opportunity to meet with venture capitalists and financiers, heads of private equity funds, representatives of regional and federal authorities to attract financing required for the implementation of their projects.

It is expected that the annual international Forum will be visited by the Prime Minister of Finland Jyrki Katainen, Minister of the Economy Jan Vapaavuori and Minister of Education Jukka Gustavsson, and also a number of other prominent figures: Director General of the Innovation Department of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy Petri Peltonen and the Director General of Tekes – the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation Pekka Soini.

Within the framework of the working program the Fund representatives visited a series of panel discussions devoted to BRICS countries (first of all, the Russian Federation). The main issue of the agenda was the discussion of the strategy for the development of the pharmaceutical and medical industries of the Russian Federation for a period of till 2020 and beyond.
